How to use this tool
- Enter A:B and the new first value C.
- Read the reduced ratio and D satisfying A:B = C:D.
Things to know
- A must be nonzero to solve the proportion. Decimal ratios are reduced exactly up to 12 decimal places.
- Three bounded decimal values. Ratio A/B allow at most 12 decimal places; exact reduction is bounded before BigInt conversion.
- Use no more than 200,000 characters across the input and settings.
- Bounded decimal inputs mean at most 120 characters, zero or a magnitude from 10^-100 to 10^100. Arithmetic uses 40-digit precision; exponent suffixes are checked before parsing.
