Probability Distribution Calculator

Calculate normal cumulative probabilities or binomial point and cumulative probabilities.

Options
Normal models a bell-shaped spread of values. Binomial counts successes across repeated trials with the same success chance.
Measures how spread out the values are around the mean. Must be greater than 0.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a distribution and fill in its labelled parameters.
  2. Calculate the probability up to the threshold and any applicable point probability.

Things to know

  • Normal probabilities use a numerical approximation. Binomial n is limited to 1,000 and assumes independent equal-probability trials.
  • Normal distribution uses fixed arithmetic. Binomial trials: 0-1,000, successes within trials and probability 0-1; at most about 250,000 inner arithmetic steps.
  • Use no more than 200,000 characters across the input and settings.
