How to use this tool
- Choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image.
- Automatic mode detects the most common colour around the image edges. Adjust tolerance to remove similar shades, or choose a colour manually. Use portrait mode for a person against a more complex background.
- Review the transparent PNG and download it.
Things to know
- Up to 25 MiB per image, 50 MiB combined and 16 million pixels per image. Results are created in a local worker. Metadata is removed and colours may change on re-encoding.
- Automatic mode works best with a plain background visible at the image edges. Both colour modes remove matching pixels everywhere, including inside the subject. Portrait mode is for people; hair, glass and complex edges may need manual cleanup.
- Portrait mode downloads a 26 MB model and a local inference engine on first use. A slow device may need a smaller image.
- Processing and results stay on this device. Inputs are bounded; no work is saved between visits.
