How to use this tool
- Paste text or choose one local file. A selected file takes precedence over pasted text; remove it to return to text mode.
- Choose a SHA digest or CRC-32 checksum. File bytes are hashed exactly; text uses UTF-8 and newlines are significant.
- SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 include SRI syntax. Copy the hash or integrity value after checking the displayed source and byte count.
Things to know
- Local files are limited to 50 MiB and remain on your device. Text is limited to 5 MiB.
- SHA-1 and CRC-32 are compatibility checks and are not supported SRI algorithms. Hash actual trusted file content, not its URL.
- Each text input accepts up to 5 MiB. Output is limited to 25 MiB and combined text settings to 1 MiB.
